| Lingua Tech Singapore at FIT 5th Asian Translators Forum 2007 |

Singapore - April 13, 2007 - The FIT Asian Translators Forum is an international conference held every three years under the auspices of the International Translators Federation/Federation Internationale des Traducteurs (FIT). It is a forum where professionals in the translation and interpretation industry and academics from various well known universities around the world gather to exchange ideas and research findings in their respective fields.
As part of Lingua Tech's commitment to promote good translation practices and stay abreast of the most current translation strategies and concepts, the company participated in the FIT 5th Asian Translators Forum 2007 hosted by Himpunan Penerjemah Indonesia/The Association of Indonesian Translators at Bogor, Indonesia on 11-12 April 2007.
The theme of this 5th Asian Translators Forum is "Translation and Cultural Dialogue". More than 200 participants attended the forum, which comprised largely of professional translators, interpreters, linguists, teachers and scholars from Indonesia and various countries such as the US, U.K., United Arab Emirate, Iran, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Japan, People's Republic of China, Australia, Germany, Malaysia, Singapore and Korea.
The participants presented and discussed their views on a variety of topics covering Translation in Cultural Activities, Translation and Cultural Differences, Transfer of Technology in Translation, Translator and Interpretation Training, and Translation of Literary works, etc.
The forum allowed Lingua Tech to be updated with the development in Translation Studies and the latest research in Translation Quality Assessment, which will in turn equip the company with the knowledge necessary to better manage its localization services and processes.
