Yahoo! Asia appoints Lingua Tech as Multi-language Translation Solutions Provider

Singapore - September 20, 2005 - Yahoo! Asia, the Asia arm of Yahoo! Inc., a leading global internet company, has appointed Lingua Tech (LT), a leader in localization solutions and multilingual content management in the region, with the task of translating online content for its sites in Southeast Asia.
LT will manage the translation of Yahoo!’s popular Messenger, Toolbar and Search features into Indonesian, Malay, Thai and Vietnamese - language markets that make up over 70% of the entire Southeast Asian population. Materials to be translated include user interfaces, help files, end-user license agreements and legal documents.
LT’s web, marketing and documentation translation expertise and its wide network of Asian language professionals offered Yahoo! Asia a comprehensive solution to fully localize material totaling approximately 50,000 words into 4 languages in a period of just over a month. The complexity of the task includes translation of legal as well as marketing and instructional materials, taking into account the various local nuances and cultural sensitivities throughout the region.
