Singapore, 13 December 2010 – Continually striving to foster a deeper sense of corporate social responsibility, Lingua Tech Singapore provides its translation and localization services pro bono for the Christmas Light up 2010 donation drive organized by Assisi Hospice.

Assisi Hospice, a recognized Charity, founded by the Franciscan Missionaries of the Divine Motherhood Sisters, is highly dependent on public donations to carry out their hospice and palliative care services to the community. Last year, over a thousand patients facing a life threatening illness were supported by the in-patient, home and day care services of Assisi Hospice.

“Lingua Tech Singapore is glad to be given this opportunity to do something for an organization that does so much good work for the past 40 years,” said Mr. Nickson Cheng, Managing Director of Lingua Tech Singapore. “We hope that the Chinese translation provided for their Christmas Light up 2010 donation drive will help Assisi Hospice reach out to the Chinese speaking community. The donations will go a very long way towards helping patients at the hospice.”

“Assisi Hospice is very grateful for the linguistic assistance provided by Lingua Tech Singapore,” said Ms Irene Chan, Executive Director of Assisi Hospice. “We are fortunate to receive this support from such a reputable company. Support like this makes it possible for Assisi to continue with our mission of caring for the sick and dying.”

For every $10 donation, a Christmas bulb will be lighted on a 30-foot high Christmas tree. Every bit counts during this season of giving and sharing and these donations, small or big, will bring about much joy and goodwill to the many adults and children in need of palliative and hospice care.
